Erin is known by her friends and clients as the “Holistic Hottie”.  She has deep gratitude for, and endless love and knowledge of, all things food, fitness, and healthy lifestyle related. Erin believes in taking the WHOLE life into consideration when creating a program that will be effective in helping her clients experience true transformation. Erin has been personal training for over 10 years, and she is also a Motivational Speaker, a Health Coach, and an Inspirational and Personal Development Writer. She helps her clients work through whatever issues are blocking them from making the choices that are in alignment with their highest self, and therefore that are holding them back from living their best life as their best self. She educates them on nutrition, how to grocery shop, exercise, and helps them remove energetic blocks that keep them stuck. She uses a method called “The Being Method” to help her clients raise their consciousness, vibration, and therefore their point of attraction. This allows them to get “un-stuck” and live totally authentically, with more energy, beauty, vitality, love and compassion for self and others, and confidence.

She was born in San Francisco, California, but she grew up in Vero Beach, Florida after her parents decided to move there when she was just three months old. Erin knew from a very young age that she was a California girl, and destined to live in California again.

Erin attended Florida State University and graduated with a BA in Communications and a minor in Creative Writing. She anchored and reported for FSU Live Sports TV, and worked on perfecting her writing skills. In her free time, Erin earned a reputation of being the “Fittest girl at FSU.”  Erin became a fitness champion as a result of the many pageants she entered and won. Once Erin graduated FSU, she headed cross country to make her splash in Los Angeles, CA. Erin found a way to combine her love of people, her creativity, her gift of communicating ideas and educating others, and her inspiration and passion for helping others reach optimal health and well-being in their lives. She has worked with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak and has trained celebrities such as Eva Mendez, Melissa Rivers, Mandy Moore, Donald Faison, Casey Cobb, Enrique Murciano, and numerous other high profile clients. Erin is a bubbly, super energetic person, and those who know her say she lights up a room with her smile and laugh.

erin avatarThe Erin Lanahan Method (E.L.M) is the signature approach created by Fitness Expert and Health Coach Erin Elizabeth Lanahan.   Based in Los Angeles, Erin has worked for over 10 years with celebrities and other high-profile clients in honing this program to get quality results that last a lifetime and that continue to work as a positive force in the lives of her clients.   She strives to create healthier people both on the inside and the outside. Her clients are quickly effected and changed by her positive energy, loving attitude, and passion for helping them reach optimal health and well-being. Erin has a gift for helping her clients create healthy relationships with food and exercise because she has had many of her own struggles with food and exercise. She has overcome the vicious cycle of “dieting”as a result of  her commitment to explore her own emotional eating and food addictions over the last 10 years. The Erin Lanahan Method is a method that combines many different belief systems about food, exercise, and how to approach a Happy and Fit Life, that Erin believes will help people reach long-term, lasting results. Erin believes in finding what works best for each individual client. She has learned that blanket diets and workouts do not work because everyone is uniquely different. She has found a way to achieve and maintain her own optimal health and physical condition through her experiences, and as a result of healing herself on many different levels. Erin knows how to help her clients identify why they are not making choices that are in alignment with the results they are seeking. She helps her clients overcome the things that block them from taking right action and achieving their health goals. Erin’s mission is to bring awareness into as many lives as possible, about how to live a fit life. She wants to help people live a life they love in a body they love, and therefore contribute to a happier and healthier world overall.

Erin has had a lifelong love affair with fitness, and was once an elite fitness competitor.  She saw a perfect opportunity to combine her love of fitness and helping people when others kept asking her advice on how to look and feel as great as she did.  Thus, her fitness business was born.

Erin’s certifications include:  ACE, NESTA, AADP, NAFP, CPR and Bosu Training, Health Coaching, and Integrative Nutrition. She also specializes in Myofascial Release techniques and One-on-One Stretching. Erin recognizes the importance of educating people on how to eat healthily, exercise, and care for their individual bodies. She understands that healthy habits create happier people and thus a happier world. Erin is always striving to contribute to the greater good and to improve the bigger picture. She believes that healthy people have healthier thoughts, and healthier thoughts create positive results that affect us all.

Below, are some highlights on how the Erin Lanahan Method can help you depending on your current fitness level and future goals:

1.  Beginner: The approach is all about laying The Foundation.  Initially, she will focus on identifying your goals and motivators.  The next step is to design a program to instill a desire and healthy relationship with fitness and nutrition.  As far as the workouts?  ELM will begin with strengthening and toning every muscle in your body, in order to set up a sound Foundation upon which to build.

2.  Intermediate:  This is for the person who works out regularly and does a pretty good job — but may not be seeing any more results.  Maybe boredom has set in.  Erin’s high-energy style and voracious appetite to learn about new techniques and tools will keep things fresh.

3.  Advanced: This athlete has no problem working themselves out. The ELM Advanced Techniques always focus on keeping the muscles stimulated in new ways.  Since Erin is so passionate about her industry, she is forever seeking out cutting-edge opportunities to challenge the Advanced Fitness buff.  Her clients at this level simply tell her that they have a great time working out with her because she keeps things fun while simultaneously burning the fat right off their bodies.

The Erin Lanahan Method works to create the best shapes and results for each client based on their bio-individuality and overall health goals. Recognizing the differences in people, Erin’s programs are tailored to compliment each client’s bio-individuality.  It sounds simple, but she really wants each person to feel good while working out so they too can fall in love with fitness while getting the type of program best suited for their genetics, needs, and goals.

Went and took a look at your recipe for Millet Mashed Potatoes as I am a Mashed Potato lover 🙂 Can’t wait to try them if they taste as good as they look!
